With 42 historic cabins and saloons aboard the ship, and over 1,400 fascinating objects and exhibits across two museums, you can set sail on a global adventure without leaving Bristol. With unlimited free returns for a year included with all standard tickets, there are so many reasons to come back again and again to discover something new.
Created in association with the Sensory Trust, this trail encourages visitors to engage with the wider site by using their senses. Designed to be as accessible and inclusive as possible, the trail can be enjoyed by all visitors regardless of age, ability or circumstance.

Brunel’s Curiosity Quest
For those intrigued by Brunel’s genius, use this Curiosity Quest to explore the Being Brunel museum and discover more about the great engineer. Don’t forget, you can also discover what it takes to become Brunel’s apprentice! Simply collect a free satchel from the Visitor Centre and complete the activities within to find out if you have what it takes to be a master engineer.

Explorers Under the Glass Sea
This trail will take you into the Dry Dock where the SS Great Britain was first built and is now being looked after. Explore under the glass sea and complete your conservation adventure!

Become a Victorian Plant Hunter! On the Weather Deck you will find mini greenhouses called Wardian cases filled with plants that are being taken to Australia. But what will happen to them when they reach the other side of the world? Use the map and navigate the ship to track down surprising uses for 19th century plants and don’t forget to collect your botanical reward!
