Standard tickets include free unlimited return visits for a whole year. There’s so much going on throughout the year to enjoy, from family activities to new exhibits and experiences, so you can expect to see something different on every visit!

Please note that Late Entry tickets do not include unlimited return visits.

Universal Credit tickets can only be purchased on site, with proof of eligibility.

Key Information

Your Annual Ticket

Once tickets have been purchased an email will be sent with the ticket confirmation. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the email details are correct at the time of purchase. 

Your ticket will be issued from the date of your first visit to Brunel’s SS Great Britain, so you can make full use of the free unlimited return visits for a year. This is included in the price of your ticket (excluding group tickets, schools, or venue hire guests). 

Please note that:

  • All open dated standard passenger tickets must be claimed at the attraction within one year of the purchase date. 
  • Universal Credit tickets can only be purchased on site, with proof of eligibility.
  • Late Entry Tickets do not include free unlimited return visits.
  • Children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Refunds or exchanges are not offered on tickets. 
  • Tickets may not be resold and can only be used by the original ticket holder.

Already Have an Annual Ticket?

If you are coming back for a return visit using your annual ticket, you do not need to book in advance.

Visit us on a day of your choosing, and on arrival you will be asked to show your annual ticket and a form of ID so we know the ticket is yours. Then you can step aboard!

Late Entry Tickets

Short on time? Visit from 3:30pm to explore the whole visitor attraction for up to 90 minutes at the reduced ticket price of £11. You will have the opportunity to upgrade to an annual ticket after your visit to come back and see anything you missed! The Being Brunel museum closes at 4pm.

Lost or Stolen Tickets

Replacements cannot be issued for stolen tickets. Replacements may be issued for lost tickets with the provision of valid ID and concurrent information.

Parking Prices

Parking is available at the Maritime Heritage Centre car park next to Brunel’s SS Great Britain. Our visitors pay a discounted rate of just £5.20 to stay up to five hours*. Simply park in any space and head to our ticket desks to make payment.

Please note that Bristol’s Clean Air Zone is in effect. Some vehicles (less than 29% of cars) have to pay to come into Bristol. Check whether your vehicle will be charged. An alternative option to consider is the Long Ashton Park & Ride service which operates Monday to Saturday.

Please be aware that a bus gate is in effect on Cumberland Road. Be alert for bus gate signage as you leave Brunel’s SS Great Britain.

*The discounted parking rate is not available to those attending ticketed after-hours events such as the Summer Lates Series.

Group Discounts and Guided Tours

Discounts are available for groups of 15 or more when booked in advance. Where available, guided tours of the site can be booked for a maximum of 20 people at a time.

School Visits

Where available, schools can book a Guided Tour of the Ship.

  • Guided Tours are led by our friendly and knowledgeable volunteer Tour Guides.
  • Tours are subject to availability and should be requested on booking.
  • Please allow at least 60 minutes in your schedule for your Guided Tour and transit time.
  • Please note that if your group is late the Tour Guide may be allocated to another group.

Isambards Go Free

Any visitor lucky enough to be named Isambard is allowed entry for free. And if you’re a friend, partner or parent visiting with an Isambard, then please remember to book your ticket online. Please read the terms and conditions below for full details.

Terms and conditons

  1. To reedeem this offer, proof of name is needed in the form of personal identification e.g. birth certificate, passport or driving licence.
  2. The Trust reserves the right to amend, change or withdraw the offer at any time without prior notification.
  3. Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for goods or services.
  4. Children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  5. The offer cannot be applied to existing tickets, even if the tickets have not been used.

Event Cancellations

If a ticketed event (not included within the general admission price, such as Murder Mystery evenings) is cancelled for any reason then a full refund will be issued to all ticket holders. 

If it is postponed for any reason then refunds or exchanges will be available within 7 days of the notification of the new event date.

Universal Credit Tickets

We have introduced a reduced ticket price (£10 per person) if you are in receipt of Universal Credit. This ticket can only be purchased on site, with proof of eligibility.

Eligible proof can be a letter from DWP confirming receipt of universal credit, a bank statement showing a transaction from DWP, or an email from DWP confirming receipt of universal credit.
