We are excited to welcome you on board Brunel’s SS Great Britain.

We’re much more than just a ship. We’ve also got two interactive museums, a historic dockyard and a dry dock to explore – sure to provide a fun-filled day out for all. There’s also regular programming, special events, and the opportunity to climb the rigging for the best views of Bristol!

Important information

Please be aware the Tough Runner Triathlon is taking place on Sunday 4th June and some roads will be closed around Hotwells and the Portway. If you are travelling to us from Hotwells/Portway, there will be diversions in place that may extend your journey time but access to our site will be maintained all day.

We recommend you spend 3-4 hours on site. There is a lot to see and do! But don’t worry if you run out of time. Your tickets are valid for an entire year, so you can come back as many times as you like.

There are ongoing roadworks on Cumberland Road. By car, we are only accessible via Cumberland Road from the east (Bedminster Roundabout). Diversion signage is in place.

Google Maps tends to have the most up-to-date infomation, however if not please follow diversion signs. Please be aware that some sat-navs do not have up to date information for these road closures.
