Experience the immersive Iron Island installation and explore the ship after hours. With a pop-up bar, this will be a unique opportunity to spend an evening in, on and under Brunel’s great ocean liner.

Iron Island is an immersive multimedia experience that brings the sea back to the SS Great Britain through light projection and surround sound. Working with poet Saili Katebe and composer Joe Acheson, Limbic Cinema will transform the dry dock into a huge digital projection theatre, filled with the energy of the world’s underwater oceans.

Iron Island is an immersive theatre experience that includes underwater scenes, flashing lights, loud sounds and a darkened environment. It is designed to be suitable for all audiences however parent/guardian guidance is recommended. There is lift access to the dry dock. Access for wheelchair users is step free however part of the surface is cobbled.
