This Easter we’re getting green-fingered at Brunel’s SS Great Britain as plants climb aboard the ship for the first time since it’s sea-faring days. With a new botanist’s cabin, ‘fern-tastic’ family trail and living exhibits unveiled on board, there is plenty to see and do at Brunel’s SS Great Britain this Easter.
Discover living exhibits on board the ship for the first time. Six stunning Wardian Cases (Victorian maritime glass houses) will take pride of place on the ship’s weather deck. See the first cases unveiled this Easter as they are planted with luscious ferns, flowers and fruit trees.
Step into the shoes of a Victorian Plant Hunter with our ‘Fern-tastic’ Trail. Explore in, under and around the ship as you track down all the hidden ferns and unearth fascinating botanical facts along the way. Will you find them all?
