There’s plenty of fun to be had this Halloween at Brunel's SS Great Britain.

Grisly Cuts and Gruesome Scars

11am - 4pm, Friday 25 October - Saturday 2 November

Included in the price of admission

Earn a Certificate of Bravery and scare your friends with seaworthy injuries from professional special effects makeup artists. Adults can also learn more about the real illnesses and injuries experienced by passengers on board.

Please note due to skin sensitivity of children under 3 years old, wound workshop products will only be allowed on children 3 years and above. Read our full disclaimer here.

Trail of Tragic Tales

10am - 5pm, Saturday 19 October - Sunday 3 November

Included in the price of admission

Discover the darker side to the SS Great Britain's history with this spooky trail. Watch out for sinister shadows, creepy creaks and gruesome goings-on as you delve deeper on board the ship.

The Ragged Victorians

10am - 5pm, Saturday 26 - Sunday 27 October

Included in the price of admission

The Ragged Victorians will be joining the crew. Whilst keeping it very real there will be blood, gore, disease and despair a plenty, bringing the dockside to life with Victorian realities.

Step on board after-dark for The Spooky Ship: Shipwrecked!

Various times, Thursday 31 October - Saturday 2 November

£15, book via Bristol Old Vic

Following the previous success of The Spooky Ship, this year's Shipwrecked! is all-new, delving into the deep to find fresh tales to tell and mysteries to evoke. Be prepared for a nightmare to remember as you follow your ghoulish guide around the darkest nooks and crannies of the 176-year-old ship.

Climb The Rigging

12pm - 4pm, daily from Wednesday 23 October - Sunday 3 November

Free for under 18s, £10 for over 18s

Go Aloft! Become a true sailor and climb the huge mainmast. Brave souls can ascend the rigging to a viewing platform at over 26m above ground level and even step out over the harbour on the main yard. 

All special events (excluding Spooky Ship and Go Aloft! for over 18s) are in addition to exploring the ship, Dry Dock, Dockyard Museum and Being Brunel and are included in the usual admission price.
