Brunel's Cabinet of Curiosities

10am - 6pm

Discover the personal possessions of Britain’s greatest engineer in Being Brunel as we open Brunel’s Cabinet of Curiosities. Get your hands on a piece of history with replica objects and discover fascinating stories about Victorian life and Brunel’s legacy.

Collage Your Own Exhibit

11am - 4pm

What objects would you put in a museum of your life? Families can join in with our workshop and make a collaged exhibit to place in their very own Cabinet of Curiosities.

Explore the Brunel Institute

11.30am - 2.30pm, Tuesday 29 May - Friday 1 June 

Free in the Brunel Insitute

Join our curators and delve deep into the stories of the vault to find fascinating pieces of history. From Tuesday to Friday there will be special half term editions of Archive in Five and Conservation in Action.

Climb the Rigging

12pm - 5pm, daily

Included in the price of admission for under 18s, £10 for over 18s

Scale the rigging 30 metres above the Dry Dock floor with Go Aloft!, and then walk out onto the main yard for a unique and breathtaking view of Bristol, now free for under 18s!

Meet Mr. Brunel

10am - 6pm, daily (apart from Tuesday and Wednesday)

Find and meet Mr. Brunel on and around the ship and get your photo taken with the original Iron Man. Be sure to quiz him on the challenges he faced and how he met them throughout his illustrious career. Mr. Brunel is not the only Victorian Character you could bump into.
