The reimagined Dockyard Museum will form part of the expanded SS Great Britain Experience which will bring to life the powerful personal stories of passengers who travelled aboard the SS Great Britain to New York, San Francisco, Australia, India and the Falkland Islands. 

These journeys shaped lives across the globe, and here in Bristol. 

You can be part of a limited and very special group of just twenty people by sponsoring a yard of the original ship’s yard arm for £1,000. As a thank you, we will add your name into the heart of our museum, you will receive a special certificate of thanks and be gifted a ticket welcoming you to the museum once open in Summer 2026.
