Opening in July 2026, we’re transforming the Dockyard Museum into the newly designed SS Great Britain Experience – the essential gateway for every visitor before they step aboard the ship itself. Bold new designs will bring fresh stories to life, with community research woven into every corner. We’re focusing on fewer objects, deeper stories and experiences that feel relevant, representative and accessible to everyone. At the same time, essential repairs and a full refurbishment will breathe new life into the building. You can help make this transformation happen.
