1.4 Participants must not be employees of SS Great Britain Trust or relatives of any employee.

2. The Competition

2.1 The competition involves participants placing one hand on a designated area of the SS Great Britain Weather Deck and maintaining contact for as long as possible.

2.2 Players must arrive at 9:30 AM, with everyone taking part ready to place one hand on the deck at the starting buzzer at 10 AM.

2.3 The designated competition area will be cordoned off and supervised by the SS Great Britain Trust staff and volunteers.

2.4 Participants must follow all instructions given by Trust staff at all times. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification.

2.5 If a participant removes their hand from the designated area at any time, for any reason, they will be immediately disqualified.

2.6 Trust staff and volunteers will monitor participants throughout the competition. If a member of staff determines that contact has been broken, that participant will be disqualified. Staff decisions regarding elimination are final.

2.7 The competition will end no later than 3:30 pm on the day of the event, in line with site closing times.

2.8 By taking part, participants agree to being photographed and filmed during the event. Images and footage may be used by the Trust for marketing, promotional and publicity purposes across print, digital and social media channels.

3. Determination of the Winner

3.1 The last remaining participant maintaining continuous contact with the designated area of the deck will be declared the winner.

3.2 If more than one participant remains at 3:30 PM, there can only be one winner. In such circumstances, the winner will be determined by a Victorian parlour game selected and administered by the Trust.

3.4 The Trust’s decision is final and binding in all matters relating to the competition.
