About the book

‘Iron, Stone and Steam’ chronicles how, in almost 30 tumultuous years, Brunel created a rail network spanning the South and West of England, the Midlands and Wales. But the engineer’s successes were matched by ‘monumental failures’, and Tim Bryan’s book also tells the story of Brunel’s complex character. Event attendees receive a discount of £3 off cover price (£22.99 down to £19.99).
