Step back in time on Brunel’s most extraordinary time machine, the ss Great Britain. Take a journey of Victorian opulence with a sumptuous three course Christmas banquet served in our First Class Dining Saloon, where Brunel will regale guests with stories of his travels. Be entertained by an Irish trio, then dance late into the evening.
Arrival from 7.30-8pm
Enjoy a glass of framboise royale or non-alcoholic Christmas fizz on the Promenade Deck
Sloe gin cured salmon with apple and fennel cream and organic rocket
Garden salad with roast beets, Cerney Ash goats cheese, peas and mint dressing (v)
Paupiette of turkey breast stuffed with chestnuts and smoked bacon, creamed savoy cabbage, fondant carrots and goose fat roasted chateau potatoes, served with a port and red wine jus and an orange cranberry sauce
Spinach, soft brie and butternut squash strudel with fondant carrots, chateau potatoes, soubise sauce and cranberry relish (v)
Chocolate and Armagnac mousse with pears, salted caramel and hazelnut crunch
Coffee and tea with stollen and mince pies
House red and white wines (half a bottle per person)
After dinner entertainment until Midnight
