Welcome to Brunel Square

Ahoy! Welcome to Brunel Square. You’re just metres away from the SS Great Britain, which is one of Brunel’s most stunning achievements and also happens to be Bristol’s No.1 Attraction.*

There’s so much to do and see on a day out here. You’ll meet Victorians, climb into a bunk, get up close to the ship’s original hull and uncover the mind behind its engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Keep your eyes and ears (and nose!) open as you’re immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of a 19th century voyage and when you return to present day, don’t forget to browse for the perfect souvenir in our gift shop or stop for a well-earned cup of tea and a cake in the Harbourside Kitchen.

Read on for opening times, what’s on and suggested itineraries to help you make the most of your day out.
