Volunteer Enquiry Form

About you

Anyone over the age of 16 can volunteer with us, but under 18s will require parental consent.

Volunteer Roles

You will have the option of changing your preference later. It is possible for volunteers to take up multiple roles and to change roles, but in general we ask most new volunteers to get established in a single role to begin with.
The full range of role descriptions can be found on our website here and you will get the opportunity to find out more about all roles at the Volunteer Recruitment Event that you will be invited to.

Emergency Contacts

Please provide us with two contacts for use in the unlikely event of an emergency. These details will not be passed on to any third party and will be kept securely with your information.

If you join our team we will need to obtain references. Please give two referees, one of whom should be someone who knows you in a working or formal capacity.

All information is strictly confidential. If yes, we may contact you in confidence to discuss your requirements.
The SS Great Britain takes its safeguarding responsibilities seriously and a number of volunteer roles require additional safeguarding checks. If you select ‘yes’ we may request additional information about any previous convictions. All cases will be examined on an individual basis and will take into consideration the relevance of the conviction to the volunteer role and the seriousness of the offence.
All information will be stored securely and will not be passed on to any third party.

Next steps

Once we have received your form we will be in touch to invite you to a Volunteer Recruitment Event and informal interview. This will give us the chance to meet you, explain the volunteer roles and answer any questions you have.
