This May half term Victorian passengers will take over the SS Great Britain, bringing the historic dockyard to life as never before!
Meet those who travelled on Brunel’s iconic ship and discover stories about what it was like on board from merchants and farmers to botanists and scoundrels.
Watch as dramas unfold between passengers and hear tales of Victorian life at sea as you explore in and around the ship.

In a first of its kind collaboration, we are working with students from the Bristol Institute of Performing Arts (BIPA). The Passenger Takeover will follow special costumed character training here at the SS Great Britain with Bristol Improv Theatre. Each Victorian passenger is inspired by a real person who travelled on board the ship. The bespoke costumes were created by film and TV standard, Bristol Costume Services.
