Surprising Science Show
Join us this bank holiday for a Surprising Science Show with special guest, Dr Matt!
Dr Matt will present a host of surprising demonstrations, science tricks, curious objects and optical illusions. Each hides some sneaky science behind-the-scenes – can you figure it out? Using everyday items behaving in extraordinary ways, you’ll witness objects that seem to defy gravity, balance at impossible angles and much more. You’ll go away with lots of ideas you can try at home to amaze friends and family.
Along the way, Matt will share his passion for science and engineering, connecting his demonstrations to remarkable innovations and innovators including the lasting legacy of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
Shows last 30-40 mins. The event is suitable for all ages and included for free with admission to Brunel’s SS Great Britain.
