JOB TITLE: General Manager, Concessions

JOB TYPE: Permanent

RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations Manager

SALARY: £45,000 per annum

HOURS: 40 hours per week, will include weekend and evening hours

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead Heads of Departments to ensure proactive management of teams on site
  2. Accountable for recruiting, supporting, training and people development to deliver an efficient, high quality service to Elior UK, our customer and clients
  3. Accountable for ensuring that all aspects of the Elior experience are communicated and embedded within the team supporting the Service Champion as appropriate
  4. Accountable for maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks within budget
    Accountable for innovative menu planning and design of food service within specified budgets ensuring high standard of food presentation and portion/quality control
  5. Accountable for creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence
  6. Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies, and duty of care to customers and colleagues

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.  Ensure all operating standards are met with 100% compliance to Elior policies on COSHH, Food Safety, Allergens, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies, and duty of care to customers and colleagues
  2. To effectively communicate with all parties to ensure the efficient planning and smooth running of all retail catering and events
  3. To attend and manage events, delegating as and when appropriate, to ensure full communication with the Operations Manager over all events
  4. To manage and update an events booking system with the Sales team, to ensure: full event history; accurate information is passed to all relevant parties in a timely manner; consistent supply of required stock and services; an efficient billing process; ensure financial performance of events
  5. Manage all authorised recruitment by using correct Elior process, provide ongoing support, training, and development for the team
  6. Develop the supervisor to ensure compliance to all Elior UK processes and procedures
  7. Ensure ongoing communications, including building internal relationships with the team, management reporting and client liaison to support the delivery of operational excellence
  8. Ensure the team has thorough and up to date product and service knowledge to provide relevant information to customers and clients
  9. Ensure that all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures.
  10. Manage and support the compliance of COSHH, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Safety and Allergen regulations throughout the team and to report any incidents in line with company procedures
  11. Maintain, order and control stocks within budget
  12. In conjunction with the Head Chef, write the food strategy, undertake innovative menu planning, design and costings to ensure competitiveness within the market; budgeted GP is achieved; labour costs are controlled in line with budget; operating expenses are controlled and in line with budget
  13. Dealing with any HR issues that may arise as per company procedure
  14. Produce costed rotas and process payroll within budget
  15. Complete Insight, weekly financial paperwork and Weekly Performance Sheet and all financial/sales reporting
  16. To prepare for and actively engage in weekly Operations Meetings
  17. To support any of the local Elior UK team as and when required
  18. Keep open lines of communication with the Operations Manager by effective, regular, and detailed communication
  19. To prepare for and actively engage in client operations meeting as and when required
  20. Ensure active marketing campaign with social media presence, contribution to client and Elior UK social media, Operations Director group chat
  21. Accountable for creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence
