Audience enjoying a talk about the history of the ss Great Britain

Talk programme

“You stirred waves of enthusiasm in your audience”

The Education Team organises illustrated talks on various themes including:

  • The history of  ss Great Britain
  • The conservation techniques used on the ss Great Britain
  • Brunel the engineer

“Fascinating talk”

A talk based on 5 interesting objects from our collection is also currently in development.

We have a number of speakers in different locations around the country and are always happy to try and find a speaker for adult groups.

“What a show stopper!”

If you would like to enquire about booking a talk for your group, complete the talk programme enquiry form and return it to the Formal Education and Access Officer. Talks last an average of an hour and you may not even need to provide equipment. Full details are on the form.

Download the talk programme enquiry form.

Please give the Education Team plenty of notice to avoid disappointment as our speakers are booked up well in advance.

“We all loved it and could have gone on listening for much longer”

Many of the groups who hear the fascinating tales of the ship also visit her.  The multi award-winning visitor attraction offers a great range of group benefits.
