Secretaries, executive assistants and marketers are stepping onboard Brunel’s ss Great Britain for a showcase and fashion workshop event on Tuesday (October 4).
These Bristol fashionistas are invited to indulge themselves with an evening of fine wine and food in a stunning setting. They will have the opportunity to relax and be pampered, as well as the chance to see Brunel’s ss Great Britain and its events spaces in all their glory.
The evening begins with a drinks reception and canapés in the new Viridor Theatre, situated next to the ss Great Britain; followed by a fashion workshop, in the First Class Dining Saloon, provided by John Lewis Cribbs Causeway’s personal shopping service team.
Last November the ss Great Britain Trust opened the state-of-the-art lecture theatre and conference space, for up to 150 people, including a board room. This complements the beautiful First Class Dining Saloon, and Promenade Deck situated on board the ss Great Britain.
As the ss Great Britain Trust is a registered charity all the money generated from events helps care for the ship and support the educational programmes.
Director of Marketing for Brunel’s ss Great Britain, Sally Cordwell, commented: “This is our opportunity to show event organisers our flexible and unique venue. Guests will be treated to fine wine and food in a stunning waterfront setting.”
She added: “We’ve worked closely with John Lewis Cribbs Causeway, one of our long-standing corporate partners, to provide an interesting and exciting way to show event planners what could be achieved in our unique events spaces on board, as well as provide them with a chance to relax and enjoy themselves with a fashion workshop.”
Sue Singleton, Womenswear Section Manager at John Lewis Cribbs Causeway, commented: “We are delighted to be able to assist the team at Brunel’s ss Great Britain by providing a fashion workshop for what promises to be a truly enjoyable evening.”
Events held at Brunel’s ss Great Britain range from gala functions, AGMs, meetings and networking sessions to media and advertising launches, plus Christmas dinners.
