Being Brunel and Education

Future Brunels studying with iPads in the Brunel Institute

Some 20,000 school children currently visit Brunel’s SS Great Britain each year; Being Brunel will enable the SS Great Britain Trust to expand on those numbers significantly and inspire many more young people with the work of Brunel.

By recruiting a ‘Brunel Public History Fellow’, the project will enable new research; findings relating to Brunel will be communicated to the public via publications, online media, lectures and talks.

Recruitment of a ‘Brunel Communities Officer’ will translate knowledge into school activities and provide content for the National Brunel Network.
