Top Deck

The tradition continues today as an ideal location for pre-dinner drinks.

Weddings are conducted on the Promenade Deck. At the after end is a cosy private cabin for the Bride or Groom to check their clothing or take a few private moments before receiving their guests at the reception.

Maximum capacity of 140 guests standing.

First Class Dining Saloon

The epitome of Victorian splendour, the First Class Dining Saloon offers a unique setting for sumptuous dining. This space oozes history, and has witnessed the very elite of Victorian society including Queen Victoria herself who commented on the luxurious decor.

Today the events team offers only the best in quality and service, and work with you to ensure your event is a memorable success.

Guest capacity:

Maximum capacity of 148 guests seated.

Hayward Saloon

For smaller, more intimate events, or those with a more limited budget, the Hayward Saloon, formerly part of the ship’s boiler room, offers a unique space in the very heart of the ship. 

It is also often used alongside the First Class Dining Saloon to provide a fully licensed cash bar and dance area.

Guest capacity:

  • For dining, 40 guests seated (circular tables).
  • For lectures, 60 guests seated (theatre style).
  • Maximum capacity 80 guests standing.

Lecture Theatre

Situated within the Maritime Heritage Centre, close to Brunel’s ss Great Britain is the Lecture Theatre.  With fantastic views over the ss Great Britain and the waterfront, this is an ideal space for meetings or conferences with a difference.

Guest capacity:

  • Up to 100 guests seated (theatre style).
  • Up to 60 guests (cabaret style).
