From time to time, the Development Department runs events for its Members or for the purpose of raising awareness of the Trust's work, or money towards the Trust's many projects.
These events are usually held on board, but sometimes they can be held at other venues. Past event venues include St James's Palace, The Royal Thames Yacht Club, and Leathersellers' Hall.

Brunel Institute Founders' Campaign launch event

On 13th May, the Trust launched the fundraising campaign for the Brunel Institute at St James’s Palace with the Patron, HRH The Duke of York KG, in attendance. The turnout was fantastic, with 180 guests representing charitable trusts, companies and a host of other supporters.

An Evening with Monty Halls (July 15th 2009)
Over 80 people turned up after buying their tickets to come and see TV's Monty Halls give a talk on board. The evening was perfect, and guests enjoyed a glass of Pimms and lemonade on the Weather Deck before heading down to the First Class Dining Saloon for the talk.
