Brunel's cement find next to ss Great Britain is world first
ARCHAEOLOGISTS working on the site of Linden Homes’ £25m Great Western Dockyard development, next to the ss Great Britain, have discovered what is thought to be the first ever substantial use of Portland cement (invented in 1824) in the construction of a major building.
